COVID-19 pandemic

Support Wesley College with a one-time gift

The pandemic reached Tanzania in mid-March, and by Friday, March 20th, the college had closed. All Wesley College students dispersed to homes and villages across the country. Despite many challenges and uncertainties, we are committed to care for our staff and students throughout the crisis.

Many of our students come from families with precarious financial situations, which are now worsening. Most students have had to put their tuition payments on hold. This affects our cash-flow and puts the college in a difficult financial position.

Initially closed for 30 days, we anticipate the closing to last for three months, if not longer. Please consider a one-time gift to Wesley College, during this time. Here’s how you can help:

$100      One week of communications support for distance learning

$270      Pays building utilities at a reduced monthly level, while students aren’t present

$550      Cleaning and sanitizing to pandemic standards, per month

$3,200   One month’s rent for whole college facility

A contribution, of any amount, towards faculty and staff salaries will have an enormous impact on student and faculty lives. And, an undesignated gift allows us to assign your donation to the greatest need when it is received.
