Tanzania Wesley Education Foundation (TWEF), the U. S. based 501(c) 3 arm of Wesley College in Mwanza, Tanzania, seeks a dynamic individual to lead development efforts in the U.S.
Wesley College was founded by the Methodist Church in Tanzania with classes starting in 2017 and it’s first Associate degrees awarded in 2019. Full accreditation for degrees is expected in 2020.
TWEF was organized in 2016 to tap into U.S. sources of support for education in Tanzania. Since that time, fund-raising efforts have been led by members of the Board of Directors with limited part-time assistance of Methodist connected fund raisers. TWEF is now financially able to hire a full time professional who will lead it to the next level of U.S. funding support for Wesley College.
The position reports to the Board of Directors while liaising with the head of Wesley College in Tanzania. Five years of fund-raising experience and a Bachelors Degree required. Previous experience with the Methodist Church strongly preferred. Salary commensurate with experience and benefits provided. The new executive may operate from any geographical location, assuming full access to video technology although the Southeastern United States is desirable due to current support concentrated in that area.
