Wesley College principal
Noel Chomolo graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with a Bachelors in Education in 2007. He received an MBA from the University of Dodoma in 2013. Over his career, he has acquired extensive experience in the coordination and management of global, multi-disciplinary projects, as well as in the supervision and support of technical and operational teams.
Prior to coming to Wesley College, Noel served for eight years with ‘Carpenter’s Kids,’ an HIV/AIDS program of the Anglican Diocese of Central Tanganyika. While there, he functioned in a number of roles, ultimately Program Director. He then co-founded an agribusiness and development company in 2015, Ipolile Farms Ltd. He served as General Manager with Ipolite Farms through 2018.
Noel Chomolo joined Wesley College faculty in 2019. Prior to his appointment to Principal, he worked as Lecturer and Head of Department for our Business and Entrepreneurship programs. His entrepreneurial background has been integral to the early development of Tukuwe, Wesley College’s new Entrepreneurial Center.
Noel describes himself as “an entrepreneur, an academic, and a Christian.” Noel says that he has always been interested in putting his faith into action, and he has long volunteered with the Anglican church and youth programming.
Why did he choose to fill this role as Principal of Wesley College?
“I have always wanted to pursue a professional career that transforms the lives of people, and I always want to be part of growth and change. Wesley College provides me with an opportunity,” he told us.
How does he see God’s promises to Wesley College being fulfilled over the next few years?
“With the proper investment and development, Wesley College has a very good competitive advantage to grow into a big university. It is a Church institution, in the city center, and it is affordable in comparative terms. In the next few years, we can reach out to the community with high-quality, practical education.”
Noel and his wife, Esther, have three young children, ages 7, 4, and 2. We are happy for all of them to be part of the Wesley College Family.
