Wesley College is a United Methodist college in Mwanza, Tanzania. Opening in 2017 with 18 students in theology, Wesley College now educates over 240 students a year in theology, community development, and business with more programs on the way. Wesley College Foundation works to create access to practical, entrepreneurial education at Wesley College in order to help form servant leaders for the church and community. In a country where 50% of the population is under the age of 25 there has never been a more important time to ensure youth and young adults are receiving the values based education and leadership formation which Wesley College is offering. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In November 2024 there is a chance for church leaders to visit Wesley College and see first-hand the work that is going on. This trip is important for any church that is currently supporting Wesley College or which is interested in partnering with Wesley College. Participants will be traveling with Rev. Eric Soard, founder of Wesley College and currently executive director of Wesley College Foundation. 

 

The trip will be from November 4th – 14th and include time at Wesley College, meeting alumni to see where they are currently working, and seeing the growth and impact of the church in Tanzania. The trip also includes an optional safari to the Serengeti National Park. The trip is budgeted to be between $3,100 and $3,500 a person (priced may fluctuate depending on airfare) which covers most of your travel expenses, accommodation, and food.
