Transformed worldviews and growing faith have to be mobilized in order for change to be realized. Wesley College Foundation takes pride in supporting education and empowering young adults in Tanzania to find and live out their purpose in life. Entrepreneurial, practical education makes it possible for people to not just learn about how to accomplish their goals, but to actually accomplish their goals.

Over the past year, as a result of your work and support, Wesley College Foundation continues to empower students, graduates, and the community around Mwanza to live out their purpose. This is what empowerment looked like in 2024 and continues to see people living out their purpose:

• New Computer Lab. Over 20 computers provided for a new computer lab to increase access to technical education.

• Volunteers in Tanzania. 23 volunteers and visitors experienced Wesley College in person, encouraged students, and supported various college programs.

• New Business Incubator Launched. Inua (Swahili for “to raise up”) Business Incubator launched training 30 businesses and disbursing start up loans to 17 businesses, including for Wesley College alumni and local pastors.

• New Ministers. 2 Graduates from Wesley College were ordained in the United Methodist Church.

• Alumni Teaching at Wesley College. 3 graduates who went on to receive bachelor’s degrees after graduation are now back volunteering at Wesley College and gaining work experience.

• Alumni Pursuing Advanced Theology Degrees. 3 graduates were admitted to Master’s of Divinity Programs in the US as they continue their education.
