Rev. Dr. Bill Buchanan

Vice - Chairperson

The Rev. Dr. William (Bill) Buchanan has been serving in parish ministry in Arkansas since 1990. Prior to entering the ministry, he was a certified public accountant. He began serving in the North Arkansas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in 1992 and became an ordained elder in 1995. Bill resides in West Memphis, Arkansas.

Dr. Buchanan earned the Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and he holds the Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership with Specialization in Spiritual Formation from Phillips Theological Seminary. He has done post-graduate work at Memphis Theological Seminary and St. Paul School of Theology, holds a certification in spiritual direction from Perkins School of Theology (SMU), and is a member of Spiritual Directors International. He has been active as a curriculum writer, retreat leader, teacher of courses for ministers in training, spiritual director, and mentor for ministry candidates.
